90 Day Fiances Mahmoud El Sherbiny Seemingly Posts from LA in Upload 000
90 Day Fiancé star Mahmoud El Sherbiny may still be in the United States after asking his estranged wife, Nicole El Sherbiny, for a divorce, seemingly posting from Los Angeles in a rare upload on social media.
The TLC personality, 31, shared a screenshot of a map via his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, January 8, illustrating the wildfires that ignited in Southern California earlier this week. “Is really is scary situation,” he captioned the photo. “I hope everyone around that be safe.”
While it’s unclear whether or not Mahmoud is in the Los Angeles area, fans have rarely heard from the reality TV alum since his storyline on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? with his wife, 41, was abruptly cut mid-season.
The spinoff followed Mahmoud as he relocated from Egypt to his wife’s home in California, in an effort to resolve their relationship problems. Unfortunately, the issues only exploded once they reunited in the States. Nicole felt that her husband was controlling, while Mahmoud believed the fashion designer frequently challenged his strict Islamic views on modesty.
By their final episode, Mahmoud was sleeping on an air mattress and declared he wanted a divorce. “Our relationship is over and I’m leaving here,” he told a producer before adding, “I can’t take this anymore. I have no plan, I have no phone and I don’t have any idea where I go now. And somehow, I will [go] back to Egypt. I never felt so alone in my life.”

Their last appearance on the show was during the May 19, 2024, episode, and they did not appear on the season’s tell-all, which was filmed in February 2024. Shortly after, In Touch confirmed Mahmoud was arrested for domestic violence in Los Angeles on February 20, 2024.
Days after Mahmoud’s arrest, Nicole broke her silence on the situation via her Instagram Stories by sharing a graphic created by the Musawah Movement that discussed Policy Brief 8, which aimed to “end violence against women in Muslim families.”
“Violence against women is a global phenomenon that cuts across all cultures, religions, countries and contexts. Over one in three women experience physical or sexual violence at some point in their lives,” the post, which was originally shared in November 2023, was captioned. “Violence against women stems from patriarchal ideas, power imbalances, and sex and gender discrimination.”
Nicole left the upload captionless and didn’t add any additional context to the Instagram Story.
In Touch later confirmed that no charges were brought against the TLC star, with a rep for the L.A. City Attorney saying, “We rejected/declined to prosecute.” It is not known whether Mahmoud returned to Egypt after filming 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, though he was reportedly seen on Instagram Live in November 2024 visiting his home country.
The California native has yet to speak on the situation with her estranged husband, only returning to social media to announce she opened her own clothing boutique in Los Angeles in July 2024.
“Hey everyone, I couldn’t be more excited to announce that my online clothing boutique, Maude & Aster is finally open!” the business owner wrote alongside the carousel of photos on July 20, 2024. “To celebrate, I’m offering a two day grand opening sale where you can get 15% off storewide and a free gift with purchase. Don’t miss out! Link in bio. Be sure to follow the store page @maudeandaster for updates on new arrivals and exclusive deals. Thank you so much for your support, it means the world to me!”
