1000-Lb. Sisters’ Amy Slaton and Michael Halterman’s Divorce Timeline: Updates Amid Split
While they initially seemed like a united front, 1000-Lb. Sisters star Amy Slaton and Michael Halterman split.
Michael – who married Amy in 2019 – filed for dissolution of marriage with children against Amy on March 13, 2023. Their divorce documents were exclusively obtained by In Touch, and showed that the dad of two was the petitioner in the divorce.
Amy and Michael separated on February 24, 2023, according to the documents, with Michael requesting that both he and Amy attend a case management conference. In addition, Michael requested that the court enter and honor a civil restraining order, preventing he and Amy from being within 500 feet of each other and their respective properties. Both parties are also prevented from speaking about the divorce publicly and on social media, and all communication between them must take place through a court approved app.
