To the left, to the left. Farrah Abraham might think she’s irreplaceable, but MTV is reportedly set to cast Mackenzie Standifer as her replacement. The Teen Mom OG star was fired last October from the reality series — and it didn’t take the network long to start negotiating a new contract with Mackenzie, who is married to Ryan Edwards.
“They are planning to pay her around $3,000 an episode to take the fourth spot on Teen Mom OG,” a source told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup. “That would obviously be significantly less than the other girls make. It is not a done deal yet, but the consensus is that Mackenzie Edwards will get the spot. Recently, they’ve been filming her life with Ryan for Maci [Bookout]‘s segment almost more than Maci’s life. Plus, she was a teenage mother so it kind of makes sense.”

However, there is some competition when it comes to the open spot. It is also being reported that former Teen Mom 3 star Mackenzie McKee is under consideration. Despite renewed interested In Mackenzie M. as her mom Angie Douthit battles stage 4 brain cancer and a production team was spotted in her hometown in Oklahoma, Ryan’s lady seems to be the top pick. “There is no one else in consideration at this time,” the source added. “Anyone else is just a rumor. If they are planning to use anyone else, it is being kept completely on the down-low.”
Last month, Farrah, 26, confirmed she was moving on from Teen Mom and blasted producers in a series of Instagram posts. “Never apologize for being an ambitious, confident, and strong minded women, as I become the best Farrah I can be, I won’t let a man or network be little me, try to break me, lie about who I am to my core, I’m bullied, surrounded & hurt by all the manipulation, I no longer will allow as a protective mother this vulgar behavior, these crews aren’t trust worthy this ‘mtv family’ is a disgusting gang of power tripping failed producers & executives who have failed,” the mother-of-one wrote. “I will no longer allow this hateful horrible show around my family, it’s sad producers ruin their top leading networks show because they let their ego, politics, hate, discrimination & horrible sexual harassment behavior ruin a show.”
She continued, “I’m not stuck down in a teen mom pit with fake friends, relationships, horrible producing, not safe for my child environments, unlawful ethics & companies, depression, etc. I don’t conduct myself like Viacom’s horrible disgusting ethics and I certainly am raising my daughter to treat people better than MTV’s horrible behavior, our next generation should learn to love humans & treat each other with kindness.” May the best Mackenzie win!
