Beyoncé married rapper Jay-Z – born Shawn Corey Carter – on April 4, 2008, when she was 26 years old and he was 38 years old.
“There was no rush — no one expected me to run off and get married,” she explained to Seventeen. “I really don’t believe that you will love the same thing when you’re 20 as you do at 30. So that was my rule: Before the age of 25, I would never get married. I feel like you have to get to know yourself, know what you want, spend some time by yourself, and be proud of who you are before you can share that with someone else.”

Beyoncé and Jay-Z welcomed their first child, Blue Ivy Carter, on January 7, 2012. Five years later, Beyoncé announced that she was pregnant with twins.
“We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over,” she captioned a photo in February 2017. “We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters.”

Blue Ivy has already built up quite the resume by her early teenage years. Her many talents include singing, dancing and acting. She even won a Grammy Award in 2021 for Best Music Video for “Brown Skin Girl,” making her the second-youngest Grammy winner next to the Peasall Sisters, one of whom was only 8 years old at the time.
Blue Ivy also voiced the role of Princess Kiara, Simba and Nala’s daughter, in Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King.
