Victoria Beckham Says She and David ‘Always Tried to Be the Best Parents’ Amid Feud With Son Brooklyn

Victoria Beckham is speaking out amid her estrangement from her and David Beckham‘s son, Brooklyn, and his wife, Nicola Peltz.

“I think that we’ve always — we love our children so much,” the fashion designer, 51, told The Wall Street Journal in an interview published on Thursday, April 16, when asked about her eldest child.

“We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be,” Victoria — who also shares Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14, with the soccer legend, 50 — admitted.

“And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children,” she added. “And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.”

The drama between Brooklyn, 27, and his parents seemingly began around his April 2022 wedding to Peltz, 31. In January, Brooklyn posted multiple Instagram Stories declaring, “I do not wish to reconcile with my family.”

Brooklyn hurled several accusations at the former Spice Girl in his post, including that she “cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour” for the wedding, that she “hijacked” the couple’s first dance and that she “danced very inappropriately” on him.

“During the wedding planning, my mum went so far as to call me ‘evil’ because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola’s Naunni at our table because they both didn’t have their husbands,” Brooklyn also claimed.

Additionally, Brooklyn alleged in his stories that, “My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else.”
