Victoria Beckham ‘Feels Like She Needs A Plan Sooner Rather Than Later’ As Divorce Rumors Swirl, Source Says

RIP, true love. Although rumors that David and Victoria Beckham are splitting have been swirling for months, a source now says Victoria has been thinking about divorce more and more. The former Spice Girl and fashion icon is nervous about what her future looks like without her husband of nearly 20 years by her side and reportedly “feels like she needs a plan sooner rather than later.”

A source tells Heat magazine that Victoria — who has children Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and Harper, 7, with David — is starting to make contingency plans in case their marriage can’t survive. “The way this year has been, of course she’s thought about that scenario [divorce] and played it out in her head more than a few times,” the source says. “Victoria is a planner she always has a strategy and the key to her success is that she will invest the time into contingencies for various options.”

They’re referring to the last 18 months the couple has endured. Not only did David part ways with their former joint manager, Simon Fuller, but there have also been reports that Victoria is “in pieces” amid her marriage woes.

Just one week after David called his marriage “complicated” and “hard work,” a separate source told the outlet: “She’s in pieces over it and is clinging on in the hope that things will turn around. It feels like crunch time for Brand Beckham,” they said. “They both know they can’t go on like this.”

That said, the 44-year-old is prepared to go through life on her own. “She’s spent almost 20 years building her dream life with David. They shared the same values and have worked so hard, so she dreads being alone in that sense,” the first source continued. “But now that she’s helped raise Brooklyn and the kids into people she and David can be proud of, she is quite happy to devote the rest of her life to building their careers and helping them. And that would fill the void left by David if they were to split.”
