Not So Squeaky Clean? Tommy Lee’s Wife Brittany Furlan Admits He Only Showers ‘Like Once a Week’
Former Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee doesn’t believe in being squeaky clean. His wife, Brittany Furlan, revealed that the ‘80s legend only showers “like once a week.”
Brittany, 38, sat down with Katilyn Bristowe during the Thursday, December 19, episode of her podcast, “Off the Vine,” and the two women discussed their cleaning habits.
“It’s funny because the guys that I’ve dated before him were very messy, and that’s a big yucky for me,” Brittany said. “I’m like, so clean. My house looks like a f–king museum. My husband’s very neat, which people wouldn’t expect from someone who’s a musician. They would expect him to be a f–king nightmare, like, dirty. He doesn’t shower a lot, but he’s very neat.”
Tommy, 62, was born in Athens, Greece, and even though his family moved to California when he was just one year old, Brittany said he was raised with the notion that daily showers weren’t needed.
“He said growing up that that’s a thing in Europe,” Brittany continued. “You don’t need to shower every day. They would just do the white washcloth if they felt like they were getting a little funky. My husband showers, like, once a week.”
Despite his showering habits, Brittany insisted that she was still attracted to the iconic rocker because “he’s so handsome.”
“It’s really crazy,” she added. “He’s a really good-looking guy. He doesn’t really give me the ick.”
Of course, choosing not to shower every day is the least of Tommy’s wild tendencies. In August 2022, the “Kickstart My Heart” drummer posted a full-frontal nude for the world to see on X. However, Brittany seemingly just rolled with it and stood by his side.
Tommy and Brittany met when he began following her on social media. Soon after, the two planned to meet in person and sparks flew from there.
“We met online, but we knew about each other for years,” Brittany told Fox News during a January 2019 interview. “He used to watch my Vine videos — he was one of my followers and obviously, I loved his music. I was a Methods of Mayhem fan and Mötley Crüe fan. I wasn’t a huge fan — I didn’t listen to a bunch of Mötley Crüe, but I definitely liked Methods of Mayhem and I always thought he was super attractive. We just hit each other up and ended up going on a couple dates and it was awesome — now here we are.”
Tommy and Brittany officially tied the knot on Valentine’s Day in 2019. However, before he found his happily ever after with Brittany, Tommy was married to Elaine Starchuk from 1984 to 1985, Heather Locklear from 1986 to 1993 and Pamela Anderson from 1995 to 1998. He and Pamela, 57, share two sons, Brandon and Dylan.
During a January 2023 interview on The Howard Stern Show, Pamela said that she was “happy” for Tommy and Brittany. After the Baywatch alum released her memoir, Love, Pamela, and documentary, Pamela, A Love Story, Brittany found herself being targeted by social media users due to her relationship with Tommy.
“I just wanted to come on here and let you know I’m OK because I know people have been checking on me, which is really nice and I’m good, don’t worry,” Brittany said in a since-deleted TikTok video. “And don’t worry about the people that are saying all the mean things they’re saying … I don’t live in that world. I’m lucky to have a really loving husband who honestly laughs all this stuff off and could care less. I don’t sweat the comments from people that don’t know me or my relationship or anything like that.”
