‘Teen Mom OG’ Series Gets Slammed for Staged Scenes and Manipulative Editing (REPORT)

Teen Mom OG may be in be trouble

According to a new report, viewers and stars are calling out the MTV series for staging scenes and manipulating storylines.

Fans are allegedly bringing the receipts, too. In a bonus clip featuring Maci Bookout, she revealed a designer flew her and her mother to London in order to make a custom wedding dress; on a recent episode, the teen mom is seen going dress shopping at a local boutique.

Further, during the season premiere where Maci discovered her pregnancy, fans questioned the authenticity of the scene after cameras showed the mother-of-three sporting a large bump before taking the test. Maci later confirmed she found out about her pregnancy at the doctor.

Also on the season premiere, Farrah Abraham griped about her boyfriend Simon Saran never paying her back for her engagement ring, which she purchased. According to Simon, they never agreed on a proposal in the first place.

"Her and Sophia were on a trip overseas and she called me at 3:00 in the morning wanting to buy a ring," Simon told Radar Online. "She said Sophia really wanted it. How she tied that into it being an engagement ring, I have no clue. That was her doing."

The series, which also features Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood, has been a mega-hit on MTV since its debut in 2009, even spawning two spin-off series: Teen Mom 2 and the now-cancelled Teen Mom 3.

MTV has yet to comment on the alleged shadiness.
