T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach’s relationship just went the extra mile — or 26 miles. The Good Morning America alums ran the New York City Marathon together and documented the experience on social media.
The TV personalities both took to Instagram on Monday, November 4, to share photos from the event and celebrate their completion of the race. Amy, 51, shared a carousel of snaps from the Sunday, November 3, marathon, including a pre-race photo with T.J., 47, a mid-race selfie and a few post-race photos of herself and her friends with their medals. Actress Jennifer Connelly also competed in the race and appeared in photos with Amy.
The former ABC News anchor also reposted race videos that showed her running as her friends cheered for her on the sidelines.
Meanwhile, T.J. shared a post-race photo on his own Instagram. The snap showed him sprawled out on a couch as Amy sat on the floor in front of her boyfriend, looking exhausted. “How we got from the starting line to this … on a marathon day that included a near repeat disaster, tons of Twizzlers, iPhone chafing, hanging with Gov. Hochul, and vomiting. Lots and lots of [vomitting emoji],” T.J. captioned the post.
The former CNN correspondent also added “#RedemptionRun,” as his participation in the NYC Marathon came less than one month after he injured his left Achilles during the 21st mile of the Chicago Marathon on October 13.
T.J. and Amy, whose affair made headlines in November 2022 amid their relationships with former respective partners Marilee Fiebig and Andrew Shue, recently took a big step in their romance by moving in together. Amy revealed on the September 30 episode of their “Amy & T.J.” podcast that they had been living together for “the past few weeks” because her daughter Ava McIntosh needed to temporarily move into Amy’s apartment due to a bug problem in her own apartment.

“I’ve just said, ‘Hey y’all, knock yourselves out. I’ll be at T.J.’s,’” Amy explained.
“It’s been a little different but I’ve liked it … where we know where we’re going to end up every night instead of having a plan,” T.J. added of the living situation.
Although the couple reached a major milestone with their new living arrangement, a source exclusively told In Touch on November 2 that their “dynamic” is different now.
“[Amy is] running [T.J] into the ground and bossing him about and taking control of the relationship. He was always such a cocky guy who did what he wanted when he wanted, but Amy has turned his world upside down,” the insider said. “He goes along with it because he seems to like her fussing over him. He thinks it’s love, but clearly the dynamics have changed and she’s in charge.”
An insider previously exclusively told In Touch on October 20 that Amy was having second thoughts about living with T.J. because their personalities are too different.
“The new living arrangement hasn’t been as seamless as either hoped,” the source said. “Moving in is a huge step and it’s proving to be quite an adjustment for both of them. With their big personalities, the tension is starting to build!”
