The Sister Wives family is adding one more member! Aspyn Thompson (née Brown) is pregnant with her first child with husband Mitch Thompson.
Aspyn, 30, who’s the daughter of Christine Brown and her ex-husband, Kody Brown, revealed that she and Mitch were expecting baby No. 1 when she was interviewed for a local news segment with Fox 13 on Wednesday, April 30. In the interview, Aspyn was sporting a baby bump under a blue and white sundress and was promoting Mother’s Day gift ideas from the Kendra Scott jewelry store that she manages at Creek City Center in Salt Lake, Utah.
“How fitting that you have your first little one on the way!” the reporter gushed as Aspyn mouthed, “I know!”
Aspyn and Mitch were “longtime friends” before their relationship moved from platonic to romantic. They knew each other growing up, and she previously admitted that she had a crush on him when she was younger. However, the two lost contact after Aspyn and her family moved to Las Vegas. They later reconnected, and Mitch was introduced to Sister Wives viewers during season 13.
Aspyn previously spoke about Mitch re-entering her life.
“We went different directions until a rally some of my family attended in Utah, where we both happened to be,” Aspyn told People in an interview published in 2018. “My dad’s brother asked what ever happened between us, which was nothing, because neither of us did anything about it. So I decided to call him.”
Mitch proposed in December 2017, and Aspyn excitedly shared the news in a video posted to TLC’s website.
“Mitch and I are engaged,” Aspyn said. “When Mitch asked me to marry him, I was super excited… very happy. I was expecting it a little bit, but it was all perfect.”

Mitch added, “We’ve been dating for a long time, so I just kind of knew that marriage was the next step.”
Six months later, Aspyn walked down the aisle, and the wedding was featured in the March 17, 2022, episode of Sister Wives. While both Mitch and Aspyn grew up in polygamist families, they opted not to continue the practice in their own marriage.
“I don’t want to do plural marriage,” Aspyn explained in 2015. “I kind of feel bad that none of us want to, but it was just not what we were meant to do I guess.”
Mitch, who works as a carpenter, showcases a lot of his work on his Instagram page, including pieces he’s made for his and Aspyn’s home.
“Aspyn and I really need a new dining table and I just happened to stumble on to some walnut slabs,” Mitch wrote alongside a carousel of photos of the project he shared on May 16, 2020. “Now I’m deciding what color bowtie to put over the crack while the glue sets.”
In 2023, he revealed that he had completed a separate dining room table for his mother-in-law, Christine, 53, and her husband, David Woolley.
“I just finished this table for @christine_brownsw and @david__woolley,” he captioned a picture of Christine and David, 61, posing with the table. “It’s been a really fun project to do and it turned out beautifully.”
