‘Sister Wives’ Star Aspyn Brown Was Absolutely Glowing on Her Wedding Day

The Brown family just got a little bigger! Sister Wives star Aspyn Brown tied the knot with her longtime love Mitch Thompson during a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony in Utah. The couple officially became husband and wife on Sunday, June 17 — which just so happened to also be Father's Day — and of course, her father Kody Brown and the rest of their polygamous family was in attendance.

Aspyn and Mitch said "I do" in front of about 120 guests at the La Caille restaurant in Sandy, UT, according to People. The wedding ceremony was held outside with the gorgeous views of the Utah mountains, and afterwards they partied with 400 of their friends and family at the reception, which was held inside the restaurant's greenhouse.

The bride glowed in a satin Alfred Angelo gown that featured beading alone the neckline. As for her hubby, Mitch opted to pay homage to his Scottish roots by wearing a kilt, and Aspyn's father Kody also wore a kilt for his daughter's special day. Keeping with the Scottish traditions, Mitch's mother made hats for Aspyn's mother Christine Brown and the rest of Christine's sister wives to wear.

Instead of a bridal party, Aspyn and Mitch decided to include all of the little girls in their polygamous families into their wedding by having 10 flower girls — with Mitch's eight nieces and Aspyn's younger sisters Truely and Ariella. Their ceremony also featured a very personal touch — since Mitch is a carpenter, he made the arch that he and Aspyn stood under as they exchanged vows.

Aspyn and Mitch met at a family party, as their families have been friendly for years. He finally popped the question last December and Aspyn gushed about Mitch's proposal in an interview with People. "I was so happy," she revealed at the time. "I said yes immediately and pulled him up to kiss me before he could even put on the ring." But this will be the first and last wedding for Aspyn and Mitch, because even though they both grew up in or around polygamous families, they both have said they do not wish to practice polygamy.
