Kody Brown made it clear in the latest episode of Sister Wives that just because he was married to four different women at the same time, he was anything but a “ladies’ man.”
“I never claimed to be a ladies’ man. I was a polygamist because of religion, OK? I was never a ladies’ man,” Kody, 56, told his children and wife Robyn Brown over dinner amid a Wyoming getaway during the Sunday, May 11, episode.
“I had four wives. That’s all. I was never a ladies’ man and having four wives didn’t make me a ladies’ man,” the family patriarch said in a confessional about exes Christine Brown Woolley, Janelle Brown and Meri Brown.
“He did have four wives. Most people would consider that a ladies’ man but whatever,” Robyn, 46, said in her own confessional.

Kody then made it clear that his heart only belonged to Robyn, telling producers, “You know, I’m a fool for my woman. I love her,” about wife No. 4.
The conversation came about during a visit to Kody’s home state, where he revealed to his family that his father’s inspiration for his son’s name came from William Frederick Cody, famously known as Buffalo Bill.
“He was a scout for the U.S. Army. And later on in his life, he became friends, or business partners with Sitting Bull, and they traveled with the Wild Wild West show. Basically, he was a showman. He was an entertainer,” Kody said of his namesake.
“I think he was probably very charming, very entertaining, very friendly and maybe a bit of a ladies’ man, I’m assuming,” the TLC star added.
Kody legally married first wife Meri, 54, in 1990. He went on to spiritually marry Janelle, 56, in 1993 and did the same with Christine, 53, in 1994.
Meri and Kody divorced in 2014 so that he could legally marry Robyn and adopt her three children from her previous marriage to David Jessop: Dayton, 25, Aurora, 23, and Breanna, 21. Kody and Robyn have two biological children: Solomon, 13, and Ariella, 9.
However, Meri remained in the polygamous marriage until 2023.
Christine was the first wife to leave the marriage, announcing in November 2021 that she was ending things with Kody after more than 25 years together. She went on to marry David Woolley in October 2023.

In Touch exclusively reported in December 2022 that Janelle “outgrew” her spiritual marriage with Kody and left him. The former couple confirmed their breakup during the Sister Wives: One on One special.
Meri also confirmed her split from Kody during the Sister Wives: One on One special, which aired in January 2023.
“Kody has said, ‘Well, all of a sudden, I met Robyn and she’s this Diesel jeans model and she’s everything I want,’” Janelle claimed.
And I’m thinking, ‘That’s rich, dude,’” she noted about how Robyn wasn’t around for the polygamous family’s leaner years prior to settling down in Flagstaff, Arizona.
“We went through all the starving years when I was holding my bra together with diaper pins,” she explained. “We were broke as broke, and we went through all your crazy, ‘Let’s move here, let’s move there.’”
“We’ve been through all of this with you, and she’s not been through that with you. So that’s great. You just take your little Diesel jeans model and just go live happily ever after,” Janelle quipped.
