‘Sister Wives’ Star Janelle Brown Reveals the Name Her Son Gabe Chose For His New Pup

He’s so cute! Sister Wives star Janelle Brown revealed the name her son Gabriel Brown chose for his new puppy on Instagram on April 18, and we approve. “Our newest fur baby addition,” she captioned a photo of the cute pooch. “Gabe has named him Obidiah or Obi for short.” Good choice!

Janelle, 49, continued, “He and Bryn now actually will play together. It took them a few days to figure that out. #aboyandhisdog #puppy #rescuedog.” Bryn is the other dog in Janelle’s household. Sounds like they’re becoming good buddies the more they get used to each other!

Janelle first revealed that her son Gabe had adopted a puppy on April 14. “We have officially become a two dog household 🐾,” she shared at the time. “Gabe adopted this 3-month-old puppy yesterday. Dog is a complete mutt — looks like lab and shepherd possibly — with other things mixed in. We got Bryn when she was 2, so having a puppy around is a bit of a new experience. #puppy #aboyandhisdog.”

Of all the Brown family kids, Gabe really seemed to struggle the most with the family’s recent move to Flagstaff, Arizona. He was doing well in school and had a girlfriend as well as great friends, and was very frustrated by his family’s decision to move to another state. Although the move happened in 2018, it played out on season 13 of Sister Wives, and we’re honestly curious whether Obi is meant to be a companion to keep Gabriel company if he’s still having some issues adjusting all these months later.
