Did Simon Saran Just Blame Catelynn Lowell for Her Miscarriage?

The ink wasn't even dry on the news of Catelynn Lowell's miscarriage before Simon Saran, sometime-boyfriend of former Teen Mom OG alum Farrah Abraham, appeared to blame her for the tragic turn of events. As seen in a screenshot of a tweet — or, should we say, subtweet — Simon seemed to imply Cate lost her baby because she was smoking.

"Ladies, do not chain smoke while you are pregnant," the Feb. 28 tweet reads. "Unfortunate mishaps can happen. These can be prevented with simple steps and a good support system. Don't be afraid to ask for help!"

The tweet has since been deleted, of course, but its grubby fingerprints are all over Twitter. "@SimonSaran Savage," wrote one Twitter user in a tweet posted right after Simon's. "@SimonSaran Bit below the belt that," wrote another.

In case you missed the news, Catelynn surprised husband Tyler Baltierra and three-year-old daughter Novalee with her pregnancy news earlier this year on Teen Mom OG, but viewers found out about the heartbreaking twist of fate in the MTV show's Feb. 26 episode.

"It was very traumatic. [I saw] her shaking, and she's got blood everywhere," Tyler told a producer on the show. "She kinda, like, cleaned herself up and we figured what was going on. Spotting's normal, but clotting … all the clots are not. We just sat on the bed and cried. We just held another. There's nothing you can really do."

After Simon's tweet, plenty of fans stood up for Catelynn. "You know she stopped while pregnant and picked up after the miscarriage," said a Twitter user. "Stop judging. You don't know shit and can't judge when you haven't been through half the stuff they have."

"He can honestly go f–k himself," one reddit user wrote. "It is not Cate's fault she miscarried. I'm pretty sure she gave up smoking as soon as she found out she was pregnant. After she miscarried, she started smoking again for obvious reasons — she was a f–king wreck, as you would be! F–k off, Simon."

"What an insensitive douche," commented another. "Obviously smoking while pregnant is not advised, but don't make it out to be why Catelynn miscarried. What a f–king prick to try and get notoriety off of this bulls–t. Poor Cate and Tyler."

But the best response belongs to the reddit user who said, "Simon, Saran Wrap your mouth shut, please."
