“We split in the same week I got diagnosed with breast cancer, and I found out he was seeing a really famous actress,” Crow, 64, recalled during the Tuesday, May 19, episode of Netflix’s The Bobbycast.
“I went through about nine months of radiation and grieving and anger,” she continued.
While the “Everyday Is a Winding Road” singer never mentioned Armstrong by name, the two began dating in 2003 and two years later, he popped the question. Unfortunately, the two never made it down the aisle and they called it quits in 2006.
She also didn’t name the actress, though Armstrong was linked to The Real Housewives of Dallas alum Cary Deuber in 2006, Ashley Olsen in 2007 and Kate Hudson in 2008.
The cyclist, 54, had previously been wed to Kristin Richard from 1998 to 2003, and they welcomed three kids while they were together – Luke, 26, and twins Isabelle and Grace, 24. (He also shares son Max, 16, and daughter Olivia, 15, with current wife Anna Hansen.)
The Tour de France winner has previously spoken about his relationship with Crow, and in his 2009 book, he wrote that they broke up because of her desire to have children.

“She wanted marriage, she wanted children; and not that I didn’t want that,” he wrote, per Us Weekly. “But I didn’t want that at that time because I had just gotten out of a marriage, I’d just had kids. Yet we’re up against her biological clock — that pressure is what cracked it.”
However, the two are seemingly fairly amicable today.
According to Fox News, during a guest appearance on Howard Stern‘s Sirius XM show in 2017, Armstrong said, “It was a good ride. She’s a great lady. Obviously it didn’t work out, but I think and I hope she’s happy. I’m happy.”
