Earlier this year, Pamela Anderson revealed she was molested by her babysitter for four years starting when she was 6 years old. And now, she’s coming clean about why she’s kept quiet for so long: She blamed herself for her killing her abuser.
“I remember the last straw was when she told me there was no Santa Claus,” the blonde beauty explained in a documentary for the website Chideo.com.
“So I ran after her full speed with a candy cane pen and tried to stab her in the heart. And it didn’t work. So all night I wished her dead, I wished her dead, I wished her dead — and within 48 hours, she died in a car crash. So then I thought I killed her, so I definitely couldn’t tell anybody.”
She remained silent until this past May, when she told the story in front of a crowd at the Cannes Film Festival while launching her charity, The Pamela Anderson Foundation.
“At the risk of overexposing myself, again — possibly being inappropriate, again — I thought I might share with you events that, in surviving, drove me to this point right now. I did not have an easy childhood — despite loving parents, I was molested from ages 6-10 by my female babysitter,” she shared.
In the same speech, she said her friend’s 25-year-old brother raped her when she was just 12-years-old. Watch it below:
