Gone but never forgotten. Among the many famous faces who paid tribute to Kobe and Gianna Bryant following their untimely death was Nipsey Hussle’s girlfriend, Lauren London. The 35-year-old took to Instagram to send her regards on Sunday, January 26.

“Heart is heavy. There are no words, just real conversations with God. Sending my heart to Vanessa and the Family,” the beauty wrote on a series of photos of the fallen father and daughter.

Earlier in the evening, Lauren accepted the late rapper’s posthumous Grammys award in his honor. The rapper was fatally shot back in March 2019. “I speak on behalf of our family and in honor of Nip, who was a phenomenal vessel,” she said after he won Best Rap Performance. “Nip did it not just for the awards, but for the people. God allowed him to use this music to speak his truth, give his wisdom and something we will forever be able to live with.”

Nipsey was honored with a performance by John Legend, DJ Khaled, Meek Mill and others at the star-studded event. “An activist, entrepreneur and rapper, Nipsey Hussle had a lasting impact on not just his community but also the culture at large,” Ken Ehrlich, the Grammy Awards executive producer, said in a statement about the tribute.

In addition to Nipsey, the Grammys honored Prince and Kobe with elaborate performances. Host Alicia Keys, opened the show with a touching sentiment to the former athlete. “We never imagined in a million years we’d have to start the show like this,” she began. “To be honest with you, we’re all feeling crazy sadness right now because earlier today Los Angeles, America and the whole wide world lost a hero. And we’re literally standing here heartbroken in the house that Kobe Bryant built.” The songstress then belted out “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” with Boyz II Men.

Kobe and Gianna died in a helicopter crash ahead of the awards show. Our prayers go out to Vanessa Bryant and her family during this difficult time.
