Miranda Lambert Claps Back at Hater Who Says Her Marriage Isn’t Going to ‘Last’

Don’t mess with her man! Miranda Lambert isn’t taking it from anyone when it comes to her new bae. The country star shut down a hater who said their marriage won’t “last.”

On Sunday, August 4, Miranda, 35, posted a video of her husband Brendan McLoughlin cooking up some fried chicken ahead of her CMA Fest performance. Although the vid was super cute, trolls still managed to take aim. “It won’t last” read a comment referring to Miranda’s marriage to the former police offer. “Sure won’t! I’m gonna eat every piece of it! Can’t waste chicken!” she retorted jokingly.

The star captioned the photo with lyrics from her song “Locomotive,” “I’m sweet tea sippin’ on the front porch sittin’ while my hubby fries chicken, and I’m pickin’ these straaangs.” The blonde beauty added, “’Locomotive’ airs tonight on ABC at 8/7c. @CMA fest! #locomotive. With a new song and a new man, Miranda is happier than ever! The handsome hubby, 27, recently moved to Tennessee to be with his wife and is loving the change of pace. The newlyweds announced their marriage back in February after only dating for a few months. The couple first met when Miranda, 35, performed on GMA back in November 2018. Brendan worked outside of ABC’s studio where the morning show is filmed. “In honor of Valentine’s Day, I wanted to share some news,” she captioned a photo of herself wearing a wedding gown at the time. “I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you, Brendan McLoughlin, for loving me for … me. #TheOne.”

Looks like the country star has found herself a Staten Island good luck charm and a new muse. “I haven’t had a single out in a long time, and I’m just ready to have new music,” she told Billboard magazine on July 18. “I’m in a new phase of my life and ready to have new music out there that represents that. This one just felt perfect as far as the vibe of it. It’s fun and lighthearted, and I’m really excited about it.”
