Cameras are rolling once again for The Real Housewives of New Jersey after a massive hiatus, but a new report says they missed one of the biggest stories involving Teresa Giudice‘s family in season 15 — her daughter Milania‘s arrest.

As In Touch previously reported, Milania, 20, was arrested last month and charged with “simple assault” and “purposely/ knowingly causing a bodily injury.” According to a separate report from The U.S. Sun, the case was classified under domestic violence.

Sources told Rob Shuter‘s Naughty But Nice Substack on Friday, June 12, that the alleged incident occurred away from production despite cameras filming for the upcoming season of RHONJ.

“The victim was allegedly inside the home, away from production,” one source claimed. “None of it happened in front of the cameras.”

While the arrest wasn’t captured on film, sources told the gossip blog that it has since become a major topic of conversation behind the scenes.

“Production didn’t get the incident, but they’re certainly talking about it now,” another source said. “The timing couldn’t be more dramatic.”

While Milania’s arrest is bad for her criminal record, sources told Naughty But Nice that, privately, network executives are breathing a sigh of relief with The Real Housewives of New Jersey making headlines again.

“It’s a serious situation for the family, but from a television standpoint, people are paying attention again,” a third source shared. “Teresa remains the center of gravity for this show.”

A fourth source added, “Love her or hate her, whenever something happens involving Teresa, everyone starts talking about New Jersey again. She always ends up becoming the story.”

Teresa, 54, and ex-husband Joe Giudice — who also share daughters Gia, 25, Gabriella, 21, and Audriana, 16 — are no strangers to legal woes. Both Joe, 56, and Teresa served time behind bars for fraud.

She spent 11 months of her 15-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut. Joe served his full 41-month sentence, but it was split between two facilities beginning with Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, before being transferred to FCI Allenwood Low near White Deer, Pennsylvania.
