She’s ready. Former talk show host Megyn Kelly is reportedly plotting to return to TV and may take over a position at CBS, Radar Online reported on March 20. A source apparently told the outlet, “Megyn’s had meetings with the network, and she’s practically drooling over the opportunity!”

Radar claims there are rumors that CBS This Morning may be in for some changes, and that cohosts Gayle King and Norah O’Donnell may move on soon. That would pave the way for someone like Megyn to swoop in. “She thinks it’s a perfect situation,” the insider dished.

Previously, a source exclusively told In Touch in late February that the controversial TV figure was fielding some options when it comes to a return to the small screen. “She’s staying quiet about where she’ll be going, but apparently there are two serious offers that she’s negotiating,” the insider explained. “Megyn wants to come back stronger than ever.”

However, another source revealed to Radar that there might be some complications when it comes to Megyn’s return. “Megyn still thinks she’s worth the money she got at NBC … that’s holding up the negotiations,” a different source claimed. But the truth is, her controversial past may actually end up helping her — another Radar insider said, “They think she’ll attract eyeballs like a car crash.”

Megyn came under fire for comments she made about blackface during her TV show on October 23. She held an on-air discussion about why some universities ban Halloween costumes that are considered racist or culturally insensitive, and frankly, Megyn didn’t seem to understand the problem. “But what is racist?” she asked the panel. “You do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface for Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween … when I was a kid, that was OK as long as you were dressing up as a character.”

The former Fox News anchor later apologized for her remarks. “I realize now that such behavior is indeed wrong, and I am sorry. The history of blackface in our culture is abhorrent; the wounds too deep. I’ve never been a [politically correct] kind of person — but I understand that we do need to be more sensitive in this day and age. Particularly on race and ethnicity issues which, far from being healed, have been exacerbated in our politics over the past year,” Megyn wrote in an email to her colleagues obtained by Us Weekly. This is a time for more understanding, love, sensitivity, and honor, and I want to be part of that. I look forward to continuing that discussion. I’m honored to work with all of you every day,” she concluded the email. Do you think she deserves another shot at a TV gig?
