Machine Gun Kelly ‘Cleaned Up His Act’ to Win Megan Fox Back Before Her Pregnancy With Their Baby

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s exciting baby news came after he worked overtime to save their relationship. The rapper purged the bad influences from his life that put him and Megan on the brink of splitting not too long ago, a source exclusively tells In Touch.

“MGK had some pretty bad issues with partying to the point that it almost cost him his relationship with Megan,” the source says. “There was a point she did end things because he was just way too out of control and that’s not the sort of lifestyle she wants to live. When she broke up with him, it turned out to be a huge wakeup call.”

Megan, 38, and MGK, 34, sparked breakup rumors in February 2023 when she shared a cryptic post on Instagram that included a photo of an envelope being burned. Her post was captioned with lyrics from Beyoncé’s Lemonade album: “You can taste the dishonesty, it’s all over your breath.”

However, just months later, the two had reconciled. “He cleaned up his act completely and devoted himself to winning her back,” the insider adds. “They sort of dropped out of the limelight a bit to work on their issues. He did a lot of therapy, both on his own and with Megan. It took some time for him to prove himself, but he did what he had to do and won her back by committing to finally growing up and living a clean and healthy life.”

In August, the “Ticket to My Downfall” singer revealed that he was one year sober. “I don’t drink anymore. I haven’t drank since last August,” he said. “That was my first time I ever went to rehab.”

He later revealed that his daughter, Casie, is part of the reason he decided to change his lifestyle. “It started with my daughter saying, ‘Dad, you know I can tell when you’re high?’ It broke my heart,” MGK said on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast. “It was the ultimate let down. … It took me a while afterward because obviously drugs have a vice grip on you. That was step one for me. As a father and as a man, to be the father I wish my dad would have been.”

Now, he’s expecting another child with Megan, who announced her pregnancy on November 11. “He’s so grateful that she gave him another chance and that he was able to find the strength to get his act together and be the man she deserves,” the source concludes. “They both feel they are true soulmates and meant to be together forever, so this baby is a dream come true.”

Megan, who shares three children with ex Brian Austin Green, previously revealed that she suffered a pregnancy loss during her relationship with MGK. The two started dating in 2020 and got engaged in January 2022.

“[The miscarriage] was so much harder than I would’ve anticipated it being, and I’ve really analyzed, ‘Why was that? Why was that so difficult for me?’” Megan recalled in November 2023. “Because when I was younger, I had an ectopic pregnancy. I’ve had other things that I’m not going to say because God forbid the world will be in an uproar. But I’ve been through other similar issues, but not with someone who I was so in love with.”
