Luke Wilson, 54, Quietly Welcomed First Child With Girlfriend Kendall Yates, 24

Luke Wilson is officially a father!

Luke, 54, and his girlfriend, Kendall Yates, 24, quietly welcomed their first child together, a daughter, People reports.

While it’s unclear when the baby was born or what they’ve named her, on Tuesday, July 7, the couple and their child stepped out in Newport Beach, CA, for a press reception for The Anchorman star’s upcoming Netflix comedy series, The Hawk, at The Resort at Pelican Hill.

Luke and Yates, who held their baby girl in a carrier, didn’t stay long, however, with the outlet reporting that they were at the event for just under two hours and left before it ended. According to People, while there, the happy parents introduced the newborn to Luke’s castmates and other guests at the reception.

The pair have been dating for a few years and have kept their relationship largely private, with their most recent sighting coming in April, when Luke and Yates were photographed walking in Los Angeles.

Luke is the last of the Wilson brothers to become a dad, with both Owen Wilson and Andrew Wilson welcoming kids of their own.

The Wedding Crashers star, 57, is already a father of three, welcoming his first son, Robert Ford, in 2011, with then-girlfriend Jade Duell. Three years later, in 2014, he welcomed his second son, Finn, with Caroline Lindqvist, and in October 2018, Owen welcomed a daughter, Lyla, with Varunie Vongsvirates.

Andrew, 61, arguably the most private of the trio, has one known son named Joey, per the outlet.

While Luke has had plenty of practice being an uncle to his brothers’ kids, he got candid about possibly welcoming a child of his own one day while promoting the Western, Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1, during a chat with Hoda & Jenna back in June 2024.

Reflecting on what he’s looking forward to in life after 50, Luke told the pair: “I definitely, you know, want to start a family, and both my brothers have great kids, and I so enjoy being around them.”

He continued, “But I certainly have the feeling [that] I definitely have matured.”
