It appeared the rumors were squashed last week when a fan asked Derick: “Is Jana dating her friend Lauren? There are tons of rumors flying. Set the record straight,” and he nonchalantly replied: “uh no.” However, the speculation still continued as another curious commenter kept prodding, writing: “Derick you should have put just ‘no’ the ‘uh’ implies you don’t know lol, so this is not confirmation for the masses.” And now, Laura decided to shut it down herself.
Fans started speculating feelings were brewing between Jana and Laura since they were often seen together on the show, on various trips, and on social media. Furthermore, people have been paying special attention to Jana’s romantic relationships over the years, because she is the oldest Duggar daughter and happens to be single.

On top of that, the Duggar family has been advocates of what they call “traditional family values,” so some fans thought Jana wouldn’t feel comfortable coming out. However, the 28-year-old has claimed that she’s just waiting to find her perfect match. “I know how it feels to wait for Prince Charming to come along,” she previously told Crown of Beauty. “Waiting is not always easy. Especially in those times when all the married siblings are getting together and you can’t go along because you’re not part of ‘that’ group.” Well, there you have it!
