Lady Gaga Kissed a Married Man During a Performance After Her Split From Christian Carino

Putting on a show. Lady Gaga kissed her married trumpet player, Brian Newman, during her Las Vegas Enigma residency show on Saturday, June 15 — just four months after she split from her ex-fiancé Christian Carino.

The 33-year-old serenaded the musician while holding his hand, a video clip posted to the Gaga Daily Twitter page showed. The A Star Is Born actress sang, “Darling, kiss me,” before she went in for the big smooch.

However, it seems like it was all in good fun. “There is nothing to see here. Gaga is a performer, and it was a playful, harmless part of her act,” a source told Us Weekly about the incident. “She and Brian have had an incredible friendship for years and see each other as family.”

Of course, fans immediately pointed out that Brian is married to Angie Pontani. One person wrote, “I know they are friends since … forever. But Christ’s sake, he [is] married!!! Gaga should behave better,” while another echoed, “His wife was there.” A third chimed in, writing, “Gaga, could you STOPPPPP he’s married.”

Some social media users defended the blonde beauty and wanted to make it clear that it wasn’t a big deal. “It’s just a show! She knows how to work it! It’s called acting … married people kiss others all the time in movies, plays, shows, etc. Move on!” one person exclaimed. A second person added, “Just a little friendly innocent kiss. Part of the show, LOL.”

It seems like Lady Gaga is trying to distract herself from the heartbreak, though. The “Bad Romance” crooner and the talent agent, 50, started dating in February 2017 and got engaged later that same year. After the New York native went to the Grammy Awards solo in February, fans speculated that the two were headed for splitsville. Ultimately, the former flames couldn’t make it work and called off their engagement.

Lady Gaga stayed mum about her breakup, but on June 2, she finally revealed how she was feeling. “Last time I sang this song, I had a ring on my finger, so it’ll be different this time,” she told the crowd in Las Vegas just before she started singing her rendition of “Someone to Watch Over Me.”

She puts on one hell of a performance, right?!
