The Montana native was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 2008. After playing during the 2014 season with the Georgia-based team, he signed a contract with the Buffalo Bills for one year but was released after one month because of final cuts. Rumors began circulating that Kroy and Kim’s Alpharetta, Georgia, mansion is in foreclosure after the couple defaulted on a $1.65 million loan they took out in October 2012. In Touch confirmed that the home will be sold at an auction “to the highest bidder for cash” on March 7 during the Fulton County’s courthouse legal hours of sale.
Truist Bank is overseeing the selling of the property. The house is being sold due to the Bravo couple’s “failure to pay the indebtedness as and when due and in the manner provided,” according to the foreclosure notice.
Kim showed off her swimming pool and “favorite” room via her Instagram Stories on February 21, seemingly firing back at speculation about their living situation.
Additionally, Ariana told TMZ on February 22 that the whole situation is a “misunderstanding” and urged fans not to “believe everything you hear.”
Kim and Kroy worked out a deal to keep the house from being sold at auction on March 7, People reported on February 24. “The couple has taken the action to clear this up,” a source close to Bravo told the outlet.
Their financial woes continued though, as it was reported on May 8, 2023, that the pair owed the IRS $1.1 million in unpaid taxes, interest and penalties from 2013, 2017 and 2018, according to TMZ.
Why Are Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann Getting a Divorce?
In court documents obtained by In Touch, Kroy filed for divorce after 11 years of marriage in may 2023, claiming their union was “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.” He requested temporary and permanent sole legal and physical custody of their children and child support.
Kroy and Kim called off their divorce in June and the Bravo star filed legal documents in Fulton County, Georgia.
The reality star’s reconciliation only lasted one month after In Touch confirmed Kroy filed for divorce once again in August 2023, under the same circumstances as their May split. However, Kroy also requested exclusive use of their home.
