Kourtney Kardashian Is ‘Glad Scott Spoke Up’ Following Corey Gamble’s ‘Spanking’ Comments

Just in case it wasn’t clear, Kourtney Kardashian was 100-percent Team Scott Disick after his falling out with Corey Gamble. In a sneak peek at the September 22 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, fans saw Kris Jenner‘s boyfriend threaten to spank her granddaughter Penelope if the little girl scratched him. While Kourtney, Kris and Kim Kardashian were shocked into silence, P’s dad was quick to jump to her defense. And though the drama has since blown over, the mom of three doesn’t regret that it lead to an explosive fight.

“Scott did the right thing,” a source close to the Kardashians told In Touch. “Kourtney isn’t still upset at Corey either, but she’s glad Scott spoke up and set Corey straight. … You don’t mess with another man’s children. I think Corey got the message, loud and clear.”

It seems that fans have also sided with Scott. “[He] has a right to be pissed. Don’t tell him how to raise HIS children!!” one wrote on Twitter. “Omg #TeamScott all the way. Don’t talk s–t about someone’s child,” chimed in another. A third added, “It’s not Corey’s business what Scott and Kourtney do with their child. He needs to stay out of it.”

Scott is also standing his ground. “[He] doesn’t like letting anyone get in his lane, and that’s exactly what he feels Corey did to him,” an insider told In Touch. “Scott likes Corey, he likes that he looks out for Kris and the family’s best interest, but he didn’t appreciate him sticking his two cents in where it didn’t belong. Corey saying that his daughter Penelope might need a ‘whipping’ was the wrong thing to say. Scott lost it and for good reason. … He feels that Corey crossed the line and he told him so. … He knows what Corey meant, but still, it’s not something you say, especially about someone else’s kids. Corey listened and they’ve since moved on, but Scott won’t forget it.”

Though fans haven’t seen yet how the altercation plays out, this isn’t the first time the family has clashed with Kris’ man. In the past, the matriarch sided with her boyfriend against her kids. “Nobody really slows down enough to take a look at it from a bird’s eye view of my life,” she said in a KUWTK episode after Kanye questioned how well the rest of the Kardashian crew really know Corey. “I want you to recognize that when you do question my relationship with Corey, it isn’t OK, and it hurts feelings,” Kris told her family.” I think what you guys don’t realize is Corey is really taking care of me like no one ever has in my entire life.”
