If reports are true, we’re a little more than a month away from Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s dream wedding in Paris over Memorial Day weekend—but there may be one major snag in their plans!

French law stipulates at least one member of the couple must live in the country for a minimum of 40 days before they can legally wed in the country.

“All marriages must be performed by a French civil authority before any religious ceremony takes place. The mayor can authorize the deputy major or a city councilor to perform the ceremony in the town in which one of the parties to be married has resided for at least 40 days preceding the marriage. The requirements can not be waived.”

If reports claiming they plan to wed on May 24 are true, the power-couple has about five days to relocate and begin living in Paris in order to meet the requirements of the law.

Kanye already has a home in Paris, but hasn’t been living in the city of light full time.

However, some fans are speculating the reason the rapper cancelled the Australian leg of his Yeezus tour—which was set to take place shortly before his reported late May nuptials—is to relocate temporarily to Paris to prepare for the big day.

Last month, Kim confessed to Seth Meyers that she and Kanye spend a lot of time in Paris to escape her supersized family—as they can be "overwhelming at times.”

Well, looks like he is about to get 40 days without keeping up with any extra Kardashians—which may be enough of a wedding gift for ‘Ye!

RadarOnline was the first to report Kimye’s legal drama.
