Is Kendra Caldwell’s Sister Lauren Courting a Duggar Boy? Birth Special Reignites Rumors

When Kendra Duggar (née Caldwell) headed to the hospital to give birth to baby No. 2, her little sister Lauren Caldwell was right by her side. Later in the day, after the young mom and husband Joseph Duggar had welcomed little Addison Renee, the rest of the Caldwell and Duggar families stopped by to meet their newest relative. Among them were some of the younger Duggar boys — and fans couldn’t help but notice that Lauren seemed awfully cozy with both Jason and James Duggar. Though the Counting On birth special only showed the kids together for a moment, it was more than enough to reignite rumors that the Caldwell daughter is courting one of her sister’s in-laws.

In the online episodes, fans noticed that Lauren, 19, and James, 18, looked very comfortable together as they held their niece. Jason, 19, was also nearby with father-of-two Joseph, 24. Though friends of both families have shot down courting rumors between Lauren and Jason in the past, some fans are still convinced that there’s something there. After all, it certainly wouldn’t be the first time that one of the famous family ended up with a long-time family friend.

Over the years, several of the Duggars’ spouses could be seen in the background of their TV show or their social media posts. Most famously, Austin and Joy-Anna Forsyth (née Duggar) had a friendship that went back to their early years. The Caldwell girls could also be seen playing music and hanging out with Joy, Jana Duggar and Jinger Vuolo (née Duggar). The Swanson family even appeared on an episode of 19 Kids and Counting years before Josiah Duggar was even courting his ex, Marjorie Jackson, let alone his now-wife Lauren Duggar (née Swanson).

Speculation that Kendra’s sister and brother-in-laws seem close is hardly new, however. After the TLC star and her sibling shared a photo on Instagram in October, fans couldn’t help but ask about the rumors in the comments. “You all are both so beautiful!!” one wrote. “I’m surprised the other Duggar boys [haven’t] gone for Lauren yet!” A second added, “Beautiful sisters! I hope Lauren and [Jedidiah Duggar] make a connection!” One even tried to congratulate the younger Caldwell girl on her courtship as others asked, “Is [your] sister dating one of the Duggar brothers?” Only time will tell if there’s something there — but in the meantime, the romance rumors are swirling.
