Twitter Is Going IN After Seeing Katy Perry Pick a Wedgie on ‘American Idol’

Celebs, they’re just like us! Katy Perry was caught picking a wedgie on live television during an episode of American Idol on Sunday, May 5.

The 34-year-old completely forgot that the cameras were rolling when she turned around from her seat and fixed her underwear under her rainbow sequin dress. However, the “Roar” crooner seemed unfazed by the whole situation and addressed it via Twitter.

“Welp. I got caught picking my wedgie on national television AND we had to send one of my favorite idols ever @jilloydharmon home,” she wrote later that same night. “Pour me another one, bartender. @AmericanIdol #AmericanIdol.”

Of course, fans couldn’t help but praise the blonde beauty for always keeping it real. One person wrote, “Nobody will remember who wins American Idol this season, but Katy Perry picking her wedgie on live TV will go down in history,” while another echoed, “I love that you picked your wedgie on live TV. @KatyPerry #JustLikeUs #FamousPeopleAreRegular.” A third user chimed in, writing, “I just witnessed Katy Perry pick a wedgie on live television. LMFAO. OMG. I love her. Hahaha, she has no shame.”

It seems like the California native doesn’t take herself too seriously. After Katy got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Orlando Bloom, in February 2019, she gave the actor a hard time about marrying her.

While watching American Idol on March 10, the Grammy nominee took to her Instagram Story to share a video of herself harassing the 42-year-old. Through a series of videos, Katy is seen constantly asking Orlando, “Are you sure?” She also captioned one of the clips, “FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE @AmericanIdol.” Naturally, The Lord of the Rings star smiled and jokingly murmured “no” to her question.

After the Hollywood A-listers got engaged on Valentine’s Day, the pop princess showed off her ring on Instagram. “Full bloom,” Katy wrote, while Orlando shared a similar caption, writing, “Lifetimes.”
