Kate Beckinsale Claps Back at Trolling Over Her New ‘Boy’ Amid Goody Grace Dating Rumors

Unbothered! Kate Beckinsale wasn’t sweating it when a troll called her out amid Goody Grace romance rumors. After she used her time in quarantine to try out a hilarious cat trick with one of her fluffy felines, one commenter couldn’t help but call her out for seemingly dating the 22-year-old musician. Instead of addressing the subject, though, the Underworld alum simply clapped back and shut down the hate on her April 18 post.

“Try and see if your new tom boy will adhere,” the Instagram troll wrote in a since-deleted response after Kate, 46, challenged her cat to sit inside a square taped onto her floor. Presumably assuming the word the commenter was actually looking for was “boy toy,” the actress shot back, “Try and see if you can spell and not just goon yourself straight out the gate.”

The Click star and musician were first linked after photographers captured pictures of them getting cozy in Los Angeles in April. As the city sheltered in place during the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, the duo hinted they just may be quarantining together as they headed out for a hike on one day and to take their dogs for a walk on another. In addition to that, the celebrities have also been flirting on social media, exchanging comments with heart-eyes and fire emojis.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Kate has been romantically involved with much younger men — and it’s certainly not the first time she’s been called out for it. While hosting her show from home, TV star Wendy Williams even took aim at the Widow actress during her April 16 “Hot Topics” segment. “She’s got young boyfriend fever — I’m not down with this,” the host said. “Eventually, it’s going to come back to bite her in the behind.”

But Kate herself doesn’t seem to mind, and the people closest to her — like her daughter, Lily Sheen — are “used” to her dating habits by now. “Kate is attracted to younger guys that are creative — that’s just her type,” an insider told Us Weekly. “She likes surrounding herself with them because she likes being ‘in the know’ and up to date on what’s cool. … Kate and her daughter are still very close and have a great mother/daughter relationship.”
