Kanye West Blasts Kris Humphries for Not Thinking It Was ‘Cool to Be Married’ to Kim Kardashian

He went there! Kanye West couldn’t help but make a joke about Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband Kris Humphries during the Late Late Show With James Corden segment called “Airpool Karaoke” — which premiered on Monday, October 28. The talk show host, 41, told the rapper, 42, that tying the knot looks like it stabilized his life. “People thought it would be uncool to be married,” Kanye said to James while they chatted on a plane instead of the usual vehicle. “But then I got married and people are like, ‘Oh, that looks cool.’”

James continued to comment on Kanye’s wife. “No one ever thought it would be uncool to marry Kim Kardashian,” he said. “Everybody thought it would be cool to marry Kim Kardashian.” However, Kanye had an epic clapback to his statement. “Well, not Kris Humphries.” Boom!

The Chicago native also couldn’t help but gush about the Keeping Up With the Kardashians starlet. “It’s more than cool,” he added. “It’s more than cool as hell or something. It’s heavenly, it’s great, it’s magnificent and God is using me as a human being, you know. As humbly as I can put it, he is using me to show off.”

The KKW Beauty mogul, 39, started dating the basketball player, 34, in December 2010. Five months later, the pair were engaged. Kim and Kris got married in August 2011, but their love story didn’t have a happily ever after since they called it quits just 72 days later.

Since then, the E! personality confessed why she decided to walk down the aisle in the first place. “At the time, I just thought, ‘Holy s—t, I’m 30 years old. I better get this together. I better get married,’” she said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “I think a lot of girls do go through that, where they freak out thinking they’re getting old and all of their friends are having kids. So, it was more of that situation. But I knew on the honeymoon, it wasn’t going to work out.”

Kris, for his part, reflected on his former relationship in March. “I should have known what I was getting into,” he wrote in a blog post for The Players’ Tribune. “I was definitely naïve about how much my life was going to change. … There’s definitely a lot about that world that is not entirely real. But our actual relationship was 100 percent real. When it was clear that it wasn’t working … what can I say? It sucked. It’s never easy to go through the embarrassment of something like that — with your friends, with your family. But when it plays out so publicly, in front of the world, it’s a whole other level. It was brutal.”

Luckily, Kim was able to move on with Kanye — the couple shares four children: North, 6, Saint, 3, Chicago, 21 months, and Psalm, 5 months — and it seems like they are happier than ever. The Grammy winner even hinted that he wants to expand his brood — by adding three more children to the mix! “The richest thing that you can have is as many children as possible,” he explained.
