Justin Timberlake gets back to work after the controversy of being photographed affectionately holding hands with his latest leading lady Alisha Wainwright. Casually dressed in sweat pants and hoodie, the singer and actor arrived on set in New Orleans, clutching a coffee. His trailer door has a sign saying Wake Up. In the upcoming movie, Palmer, he plays a former college football star who has fallen on hard times and had a stint in prison, and then falls for co-star Wainwright. Late on Thursday evening, Timberlake, 38, was spotted tightly clutching the arm of the stunning 30-year-old actress, as she tenderly rests her hand on his right knee. They were off-duty and not filming. The pair - who play on-screen lovers - then gripped each other’s hands as they sat intimately chatting and drinking after a day’s filming. The photos are sure to have angered Jessica Biel, 37, Timberlake's wife of seven years, and mother of the couple’s son, Silas, 4. Witnesses were shocked to see the singer and actor openly displaying affection for Wainwright, best known for her role as Maia Roberts on the Freeform television series Shadowhunters. The pair were deep in conversation for about 40 minutes, before they disappeared inside the bar. It’s believed they left via a rear exit at about 12.30am. One said Timberlake, wearing a cap, ripped jeans, and a zip-up jacket, looked to have been drinking heavily as they sat chatting in the dark corner on a balcony at The Absinthe House, on Bourbon Street. At one stage, Timberlake grabbed Wainwright’s hand and rested in on his knee under their table. He then gently caressed it with both his hands. He was seen smiling and locked in intimate conversation with his co-star, who at one stage, stroked his back. Wainwright can currently be seen starring alongside Michael B Jordan in the Netflix series Raising Dion. Business as usual. Just three days after Justin Timberlake was spotted holding hands with his costar Alisha Wainwright in New Orleans, the singer was photographed back on set on Sunday, November 24. The 38-year-old is currently filming Palmer — a film about an ex-convict “who strikes up a friendship with a boy from a troubled home,” the description reads on IMDB.

The “Cry Me a River” crooner was spotted wearing a blue prison-like suit while he was at work. In a couple of scenes, Justin looks like he’s hugging and interacting with another man. Afterward, Justin was pictured in two different outfits — a white T-shirt with jeans and a black Nike sweatshirt with sweatpants with a coffee in his hand. Hmm … was the Grammy winner exhausted from his weekend of partying? Perhaps!

On November 21, Justin — who is married to Jessica Biel, and they share their son, Silas, 4, together — was caught getting flirty with his costar while they were out on the town. According to photos and video footage obtained by The Sun, the pop star appeared intoxicated at a bar. At one point, Justin was sitting on a chair, sipping on his drink and chatting with his female costars. Alisha, 30, and Justin seemed like they were in a great mood as they laughed, smiled and talked at the venue. However, Alisha then appeared to stroke Justin’s knee. “Then, he clutched her hair with both of his and was playing with her hands,” an eyewitness told The Sun.

Ultimately, Justin’s coworkers helped him stand up as he stumbled out of the establishment. But a source who was with the duo told Us Weekly that they are just friends. “Several cast members were there, and it was just a cast gathering,” the source said. “Nothing remotely romantic is going on with Justin and Alisha. The whole cast is shooting out there and like to hang out together. They were very much in public and nothing inappropriate was happening.”

Alisha’s rep also cleared the air about the rumors. “There is no validity to this speculation. They are working on a project together,” a statement obtained by the outlet read.
