Julianne Hough Shares Cryptic Message About ‘Betrayal’ Amid Marriage Drama With Brooks Laich

Uh oh. Julianne Hough took to Instagram on Sunday, April 19, to share a cryptic message about loyalty following her marriage drama with husband Brooks Laich. The two have been quarantining separately during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Never betray yourself to be loyal to others,” the 31-year-old dancer shared. Julianne’s cryptic post comes just one day after she got extremely emotional during an Instagram Live dance class. The experience appeared to be cathartic for the Dancing With the Stars alum. “Releasing all this stagnant energy built up from what’s going on personally and in the world …” she captioned a clip where she can be seen crying.

Just days prior, the blonde beauty was spotted out and about with actor Ben Barnes in Los Angeles on April 16. Meanwhile, Brooks, 36, has been practicing social distancing in Idaho with their dog Koda. Despite being apart from his love, the athlete has shared several smiling pictures as he enjoys the great outdoors.

The couple wed in 2017 and seemed to be doing just fine until they start experiencing “marriage woes” in January, a source exclusively told In Touch. They have “matured into different people,” which seems to be the root of their issues.

“Brooks is still coming to terms with his hockey career being over,” the insider explained. “He’s working on finding himself. Being a sports player, with set goals, I think he struggled to understand Julianne’s free-spirited nature.”

Although they may be going through a rough patch, “that doesn’t mean they still don’t love each other deeply,” the source affirmed.

While things seemed to have calmed down following their rough patch in January, it looks like things have become turbulent again. “[They] want different things in life,” a source told Life & Style at the time. “They’ve had so many ups and downs, but they also have very different ways of dealing with them.”

Another one of the prevalent issues in their marriage is communication. “Julianne is an open book,” the source revealed. “Brooks was OK with that in the beginning, but it’s gotten to be too much.”

Despite the hardships they may be going through, we hope they can work things out and reconnect soon.
