Fans became suspicious that Josh Duggar was back in rehab after he was spotted at the same facility where he received treatment back in 2015, after he came clean about his addiction to sex and Internet pornography. Shortly after the Duggars’ private plane was spotted in the area, fans began to suspect that Josh was back in treatment — and they were curious to find out why.
However, the rumors were put to rest by none other than Josh’s wife Anna, who took to social media to confirm that the parents-of-four were in the area for a Patch the Pirate show (Patch is an evangelical childrens’ performer, and a family favorite of the Duggars). The pic killed two rumors at once — as it also let fans know that Anna is very much still pregnant with the couples’ fifth child (earlier this month, fans became convinced that Anna gave birth, which was part of the reason the young couple went into hiding).
As In Touch reported back in 2015, following his cheating admission, Josh was getting treatment from the same man who “counseled” him during his underage molestation scandal. At the time, many were critical of the faith-based treatment he was receiving at North Love Baptist Church, because Bill Gothard — whose teachings heavily influenced the program at Reformers Unanimous — has no formal training as a professional counselor.

When it came time for him to leave treatment after a six-month stint, his family reassured fans that he would be coming home a changed man. “Josh has completed his residential rehabilitation program. We are so thankful for everyone who worked with Josh in this program,” the family’s statement at the time declared. “It was a crucial first step in recovery and healing for Josh. Josh has not returned to Arkansas, where he will continue professional counseling and focus on rebuilding relationships with his family. We look to God for help and guidance and place all of our trust in Him. We are forever grateful for the love and prayers offered by so many and hope you will continue to pray in the days ahead.”
