Joe Jonas Is Engaged to Sophie Turner and Our Teenage Dreams Are Crushed
She said yes! After nearly a year of dating, Joe Jonas and his girlfriend Sophie Turner are engaged! The former Jonas Brothers singer popped the question over the weekend, and the Game of Thrones star announced the news by posting a gorgeous photo of her engagement ring on Instagram.
"I said yes," she wrote in the caption of a beautiful photo of her perfectly manicured hand placed gently on top of Joe's putting her pear-shaped diamond sparkler on display. The stone was set in a unique double band ring setting, and both bands were encrusted with smaller diamonds. Joe also shared the same photo, and his caption read, "She said yes."

Joe and Sophie's relationship has taken a more serious turn in recent months. Back in June, the 28-year-old pop star traveled to Sophie's native United Kingdom and has been spending time with her family across the pond, and last month, the couple adopted a Siberian Husky puppy together.
It seems like Joe got the approval of Sophie's family and she's gotten approval from his. Joe's brother Nick took to Twitter to congratulate the couple on their engagement. "Ahh! Congratulations to my brother… and sister-in-law to be on your engagement. I love you both so much," the 25-year-old wrote.

But even though their relationship got serious, the 21-year-old actress has tried to keep her romance with the DNCE frontman under wraps ever since a source confirmed that they a couple last December. At the time, a source revealed to People that they were exclusively dating. "He was playing the field, but he really likes her and is willing to settle down for her,” the insider revealed.
Sophie did open up about their love in a Marie Claire interview back in August, and she said that the downside to being celebrities is the lack of privacy in their relationship. "You do feel like you’re living in a fishbowl," she said. "It’s frustrating [that] it’s the most mundane things that make the news – how boring! There are really no other headlines?"
