Jelly Roll’s Shock Split From Wife Bunnie Xo ‘Smacks of an Epic Midlife Crisis Waiting to Happen’

Jelly Roll‘s shocking divorce from wife Bunnie Xo has left both fans and friends confused.

“They may have had ups and downs but make no mistake, Bunnie was Jelly Roll’s rock,” a source tells In Touch. “That’s why this is such a head scratcher. Jelly Roll’s friends are all assuming something majorly scandalous must have happened for him to throw in the towel so suddenly and dramatically.”

The couple has called it quits once before. Back in October, during an appearance on the Human School podcast, Jelly Roll, 41, revealed that he and Bunnie, 46, briefly split in 2018 after he had an affair, just two years into their marriage.

The pair were able to “repair” their relationship, he noted, and had even been working on adding a child of their own to their blended family before news of their split became public, per People.

Jelly Roll is “refusing to be drawn on specifics,” the source says, instead “telling people how happy he is to be free and single again, that the world’s his oyster and it’ll be liberating to get out there and enjoy a brand new chapter, especially now he’s slim and healthy.”

The “Wild Ones” singer, who weighed more than 500 pounds at one point, has dropped a whopping 275 pounds from his frame in the last five years, according to Men’s Health.

“But for the folks in his world, this smacks of an epic midlife crisis waiting to happen,” the source notes. “Jelly Roll seems to have jumped the gun here and been far too fast to throw his marriage away.”
