We all know Jill Duggar and her famous family are good at procreating, but now we know she's good at delivering babies too! The former Counting On star took to Instagram earlier this afternoon to reveal she helped deliver a newborn, but people are confused AF. While many know she has worked under a midwife in the past — and even assisted during little sis Joy-Anna's labor — there's been some controversy surrounding whether or not she's licensed.

Immediately after posting the April 19 snap, haters and defenders came out in full force, and clearly, no one could come to an agreement on the matter. One person wrote, "She's not licensed. Where you read that you have been misinformed… Also, how do you presume she got a degree when her only form of education is Bill Gothard's ATI curriculum at Michelle Duggar's kitchen table?" Jeez. Another, however, wrote, "She is licensed. They even posted a picture of it on their blog when she passed her exam to become a CPM. She went to school for it. They talked about it on the old TV show."

Turns out, the latter is correct — and Jill's got the papers to prove it! Back in 2015, the now 26-year-old took to Instagram to show off her certification from the North American Registry of Midwives. According to their website, "A Certified Professional Midwife's (CPM) competency is established through training, education, and supervised clinical experience, followed by successful completion of a written examination."

It's important to note, however, that a CPM is different from a CNM — Certified Nurse Midwife. It can take at least eight years to get this certification: four years for a Bachelor's degree, one year of nursing experience, and three years in a nurse-midwifery program. This is something that Jill does not have.

Still, some are concerned the mother-of-two's career is shady. According to several redditors, the woman Jill practices under, Venessa Rose Giron, is no longer legally allowed to deliver babies in Arkansas after getting her license revoked. One person wrote, "Do we know why it was revoked? Or when? Could be that she moved and didn't keep up with the paperwork from the old state? Just asking," to which someone replied, "Lost her license because of a botched birth, baby has cerebral palsy. She is not supposed to practice in Arkansas."

Redbook reported that Tiffany Nance, whose birth was attended by Venessa and Jill, stated that when she gave birth to her daughter, Jozzie, in 2014, it was Venessa's negligence (she refused to call 911 despite Tiffany pleading) that the mother claims resulted in her child being born with cerebral palsy. That said, it appears V is now living in Oklahoma, so she may be able to legally practice in a different state.
