Ryan Edwards Shares Son Bentley With Ex Maci Bookout McKinney

Ryan rose to fame on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant alongside Maci in 2009. The show documented the October 2008 birth of their son, Bentley Cadence Edwards. After welcoming Bentley, Ryan and Maci got engaged in 2009, but they later called it quits in 2010. The pair’s coparenting relationship continued to be documented on Teen Mom.

Though Ryan and Maci experienced plenty of drama through the years that affected Ryan’s relationship with Bentley, the exes are in a better place today. The diesel mechanic had a touching heart-to-heart with his eldest child during the April 17, 2025, episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.

“For the longest, I’ve not been in a good place. And there, for a while, your mama didn’t want us together alone at all. I don’t blame her. Yeah, it made me mad, but I don’t blame her now,” he told Bentley. “And now, your mom and I get along great. [Her husband] Taylor [McKinney] and I get along. We played golf and I enjoyed it. I wish we would have done it a lot sooner, but like I told Taylor when we was golfing, I wouldn’t have wanted to deal with me then either, so I don’t blame him. And your mama was just protecting you, and I don’t blame her either.”

Ryan continued, “Sixteen years later, here we are. I’m sorry it took us so long, but it’s better now than ever. I’d love to spend more time with you whenever. And you can come over here because I know we ain’t been able to, but I would enjoy that.”

The conversation ended with Bentley and Ryan saying they love each other and sharing a hug.

Ryan Edwards Shares Kids Jagger and Stella With Ex Mackenzie Standifer

Years after his relationship with Maci ended, Ryan moved on with Mackenzie, whom he met in May 2016. The pair got engaged eight months later and tied the knot in May 2017.

Mackenzie gave birth to their first child, a son named Jagger, in October 2018, while Ryan — who had been in rehab at the time following a July 2018 arrest for heroin possession — watched via video chat. The reality star returned home later that month.

Ryan and Mackenzie welcomed their second child, a daughter named Stella, in January 2020.

Mackenzie filed for divorce from Ryan after six years of marriage in February 2023. One year later, In Touch confirmed that the former couple’s divorce case had been dismissed due to inactivity. Ryan filed his own divorce paperwork in March 2024. Though Ryan requested a temporary parenting plan that would allow him to see Jagger and Stella in June 2024, he later failed to appear at a hearing for the request, resulting in Mackenzie gaining temporary full custody.

“She has temporary full custody since February 23. He requested this hearing and didn’t come. So technically she didn’t win anything. But she didn’t lose anything either,” a source exclusively told In Touch in July 2024.

It was later revealed in February 2025 court paperwork filed by Ryan amid his child support battle with Mackenzie that his ex has custody of the kids 339 days of the year, while he has custody 26 days of the year, according to The Ashley.

Ryan Edwards Shares Daughter Presley With Amanda Conner

Ryan and Amanda announced the birth of their daughter on February 12, 2025.

“Today is the day we welcomed our gift from God, Presley Sage Elianna Edwards. We are truly blessed to welcome this beautiful healthy baby girl into our family,” the couple, who confirmed their engagement in January 2025, told People. “We have worked so hard to reach our goals and build a new life with all of our children. We are looking forward to being a healthy happy family and are just deeply thankful for everyone’s love and support.”

Amanda also has a son named Brandon from a previous relationship. Bentley got to know Brandon during the April 17, 2025, episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, and Brandon said he was excited to have a “big brother” around.
