Not quite a blended family just yet! Gwyneth Paltrow and her second husband Brad Falchuk tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony back in September, but the newlyweds still don’t live together yet. But now, sources reveal to In Touch magazine that the reason for living separately is because their difference in parenting styles is making it hard for them to blend their families.

“Their parenting styles are very different, so there were bound to be some clashes. It’s made things very complicated,” an insider tells In Touch magazine.

Gwyneth, 46, shares two children — 14-year-old Apple and 12-year-old Moses — with her ex-husband, Coldplay rocker Chris Martin. Brad is also a father — the 47-year-old has a son named Brody and a daughter named Isabella from his previous marriage. Because of this, Gwyn has hinted that she is wary about blending their families.

“With teenage kids, you’ve got to tread lightly. It’s pretty intense, the teenage thing,” Gwyneth told the Wall Street Journal Magazine earlier this month. “I’ve never been a stepmother before. I don’t know how to do it.”

So Gwyneth lives with her two children at her place, while Brad lives about a block and a half around the corner in his house, which, ironically, she helped design, adds the source. And so far, sources say, “the arrangement works for them.”

“They have separate houses mainly because of the kids,” says the source. “The kids are in different schools and have different activities, so it’s a juggling act,” says the insider. “And that means stress levels can get high, even with household sta and Gwyneth’s super-tight scheduling demands.”

But the couple is hoping that their current living arrangement won’t be that way forever and that they’ll all eventually live in one household — they just want to make sure they do it in a way that isn’t too jarring for their kids.
