“This is a message for Tyler Robinson,” Schroder, 56, began in an Instagram Reel he shared on Wednesday, July 8. “Tyler, son, you can do the right thing now. You can ask for forgiveness after you confess, and I think that is what’s in your best interest is to confess to what you’ve done.”
The former child star told Robinson, 22, he should “plead for forgiveness from Lord Jesus and the Kirk family and apologize.”
“You know, you can still do good with your life,” Schroder continued. “And that would be the best thing you could do is not put your parents and the world through this charade. Let’s not give the enemy, Satan, what he wants, which is a big show and to divide all of us.”

The Silver Spoons alum went on to say that Robinson could “unite” the world if he apologized after “this horrible act” he’s done.
“Maybe, just maybe, you’ll be shown some mercy,” Schroder added. “And in that mercy there’s a blessing for you and a blessing for everybody from this tragedy.”
The former NYPD Blue star concluded the clip by asking Robinson to “please confess” and “plead for mercy.”
Kirk was killed on September 10, 2025, during the first stop of his American Comeback Tour. He was speaking to a large crowd at Utah Valley University when he was shot in the neck and died. Roughly 36 hours later, Robinson was arrested and charged with aggravated murder. He has not yet entered a plea.
