Eric Roberts Breaks Silence on Julia Roberts Rumors, Reveals Where They Really Stand

Eric Roberts is setting the record straight about his relationship with sister Julia Roberts.

During the Tuesday, April 14 episode of It Happened in Hollywood podcast, the 69-year-old actor shut down long-running rumors of a feud between the siblings.

“You don’t know that,” Eric said when asked about a possible falling out. “It’s not true, and it never was true, really. We’re fine.”

While acknowledging that they’ve had disagreements over the years, he emphasized that their bond remains strong.

“We like and respect each other very much,” he added.

Eric also had nothing but praise for Julia, 58, calling her a “wonderful actress” and a “wonderful human.” He even applauded her role as a mother to her three children with husband Danny Moder — twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, both 21, and Henry, 18 — noting, “That’s the hardest job there is.”

The actor explained that much of the perceived tension has been fueled by rumors.

“We don’t talk about each other in the press much because it’s always a contest brought on by the press,” he said. “We’re not in the contest.”

“We’ll never be up in the same parts. It’s like we’re not going to, and we can’t play anything but brother and sister because everybody knows us. So we’re kind of cornered.”
