It turns out his appearance isn’t the only thing that’s different about Eminem!
The 42-year-old is debuting a new attitude — as the old Shady never would’ve apologized for controversial lyrics! Earlier this month, he made headlines for threatening to punch Lana del Rey and alluding to raping Iggy Azalea in his songs.
Unsurprisingly, his kinda, sorta apology comes in rhyme-form, as heard in his new song 'Guts Over Fear.'
He says, “It just breaks my heart to look at all the pain I caused/But what am I gonna do when the rage is gone?/And the lights go out in that trailer park…/And I’m frozen ‘cause there’s no more emotion for me to pull from/Just a bunch of playful songs that I made for fun.”
In the past, Em has refrained from expressing remorse about his lyrics. When his last album — 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2' — was deemed homophobic, he didn’t fret about the reviews.
At the time, he said, “A bad reaction is better than no reaction… I would rather have some kind of reaction. If my music sparks debates or conversations or whatever — be it right, be it wrong or whatever — I would rather have it get a reaction, a bad reaction, than no reaction. ‘Cause no reaction sucks.”
