The couple tied the knot in 2008 and have stuck by each other’s side through breakup rumors, workplace drama and more.
Following allegations of workplace misconduct on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the comedian has her wife’s full support. However, as Ellen’s comedy career continued to struggle years after the scandal, a source exclusively told In Touch in October 2024 that her and Portia’s marriage hit a rough patch.
“It really is the strangest marriage in Hollywood because of all the wacky schemes Ellen has dragged them into as a couple, and a lot of Ellen’s side hustles evaporated after her scandal,” the insider said.
