Gone but never forgotten. Dog the Bounty Hunter star Duane Chapman is mourning the loss of his late wife Beth Chapman on what would have been their 14th wedding anniversary. The 67-year-old took to Instagram to share how much he is missing the blonde beauty nearly one year after her death.

“She said, ‘Big Daddy, you’re going to be so sad when I am not here on our next anniversary.’ Why did she have to be so right??” he wrote on a photo of the couple on Wednesday, May 20. In the picture, Beth can be seen with her arms wrapped around the reality TV star as they dined at a restaurant together.

In the comments, Duane’s daughter-in-law Jamie Chapman sent well-wishes to the widower. “Happy anniversary! I know little mama is watching you from above,” she wrote with several two heart emojis. Fans chimed in writing, “She’s wrapping her arms around you today. Sending extra prayers today, Dog!!” Another added, “She will always be in your heart.”

Beth sadly died in June 2019 from throat cancer. She was only 51 years old at the time of her death. The two had been together for nearly 30 years. In May 2006, they made things official and tied the knot in front of family and friends.

Duane had a tough time coping with the loss until he found comfort in his girlfriend, Francie Frane. The couple accidentally crossed paths when Duane called Francie’s husband, Bob, to do some yard work, only to learn Bob had passed away.

“They both lost their spouses to cancer, so they know what it’s like to go through that and they are helping each other through it,” Duane’s daughter Lyssa Chapman told The Sun. “But at the same time, they are being very respectful of each other’s grieving process and they’re not trying to replace each other’s partner.” Just 10 months after Beth’s death, Dog dropped to one knee and asked Francie for her hand in marriage.

We’re glad Duane is finally finding some peace and comfort in the wake of Beth’s death with Francie’s help.
