Dolly Parton Comforts Garth Brooks Amid Sexual Assault Lawsuit
Garth Brooks is upset about the lawsuit filed against him alleging that he sexually assaulted his former hair and makeup artist. However, a source exclusively tells In Touch that Dolly Parton is making an extra effort to encourage him to hang in there, as well as some of his other friends.
“Nashville is a tight community, and they stick together, and Dolly is leading the rally of support for Garth in his time of need,” the insider says. “They’re not talking directly about the case, but Dolly is continuing to treat him with the warm regard she always has. Dolly doesn’t judge anybody.”
The source continues, “Other pals like Blake [Shelton], Luke [Combs], Tim [McGraw], George [Strait] and Miranda [Lambert] are following her lead. Dolly is the queen of country, so anything she says or does is OK with them. As stressed as he is over this, Garth is taking comfort in that and leaning on Dolly for advice and moral support. He’s gotten really needy in recent months and Dolly understands. She has the biggest heart of anybody.”
In October 2024, a woman claiming to be Garth’s former hair and makeup artist filed a lawsuit against him and accused the “Friends in Low Places” singer of sexual assault and battery. The woman, known as Jane Roe in the legal documents, claimed that these incidents occurred in 2019. She also claimed that Garth, 63, raped her when they traveled for work together.
Jane claimed she was initially hired in 1999 to work as Garth’s wife Trisha Yearwood’s hair and makeup artist before she began working with him in 2017. She alleged that the “Callin’ Baton Rouge” artist changed his clothes in front of her on a regular basis, discussed sexual fantasies, sent sexually explicit text messages and repeatedly exposed his genitals to her.

Jane outlined her allegations in legal documents, claiming that she and Garth had traveled to Los Angeles for business on his private jet.
“Usually there were others on Brooks’ private jet but this time, Ms. Roe and Brooks were the only two passengers,” the filing read. “Once in Los Angeles at the hotel, Ms. Roe could not believe that Brooks had booked a hotel suite with one bedroom and she did not have a separate room.”
Jane claimed that Garth “appeared in the doorway to the bedroom, completely naked” at the hotel and after the rape, he continued to share sexual fantasies involving Trisha, 60, while groping her.
Garth had previously denied Jane’s claims and attempted to prevent her from publicly repeating the accusations through a countersuit.
“Defendant’s allegations are not true,” Garth’s lawsuit stated, per CNN. “Defendant is well aware, however, of the substantial, irreparable damage such false allegations would do to Plaintiff’s well-earned reputation as a decent and caring person, along with the unavoidable damage to his family and the irreparable damage to his career and livelihood that would result if she made good on her threat to ‘publicly file’ her fabricated lawsuit.”
