It seemed like Beth Chapman was on the mend ever since she was diagnosed with Stage 2 throat cancer in September 2017 and underwent surgery shortly afterward. However, the Dog the Bounty Hunter star was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday, Nov. 27. Duane Chapman’s son, Duane Lee, confirmed to Page Six that Beth is at “Cedars-Sinai right now” and is undergoing emergency surgery that is “life-threatening.”

Beth and her husband enjoyed dinner at Craig’s in West Hollywood on Monday, Nov. 26, where everything seemed to be fine. She was talking to photographers and seemed to be in great spirits. Unfortunately, what happened in the next few hours was something that no one saw coming.

Apparently, overnight she developed a “life-threatening blockage” in her throat according to The Blast. Beth had been in LA because she “felt sick” recently and went to see a specialist. A source close to the couple said that the doctors discovered a “huge mass” in her throat. Luckily, her husband is reportedly right by her side as they wait for the rest of their family to fly in from Hawaii.

On Jan. 1, 2018, the 51-year-old proudly showed off her scars on Instagram for all of her followers to see. She wrote, “Embracing the unembracable. #newbeginnings #new year. Prior to my surgery, I had no lines, no wrinkles, a perfect neck, if you will. It has been very hard to look at this in the mirror, it serves as a constant reminder of something I’d love to forget. However, some life lessons from them and learn from them and learn to embrace them. So today, I reveal my worst battle scar and know that things will get better in #2018. #secondchances #DogandBeth #battlescars.”

The former reality star was brave and candid about her battle with cancer. She told People in 2017, “I knew I couldn’t let it take me over. I had to keep moving, every day, moving forward. That’s all you can do when you get a diagnosis like this. So I take it each day at a time. And I’ll fight with all that I have.” We are hoping for the best. You’re so strong, Beth!
