Even though the Brown family enjoyed a simplistic lifestyle in the depths of the Alaskan woods on television, that shouldn’t fool fans into thinking their piggy banks are empty.

How Much Did the ‘Alaskan Bush People’ Stars Make From Getting Paid From the Show?

The Alaskan Bush People stars are claimed to have a combined net worth of $60 million, according to The Sun. Now the question is, how much did they get paid per episode?

There have been a total of 114 episodes of the reality series spanning across 14 seasons which introduced viewers to their brood — the late Billy Brown, Ami Brown, and their children Matthew, Joshua “Bam Bam,” Bear, Gabe, Noah, Bird and Rain.

While each of Billy’s relatives were claimed to have made $40,000 to $60,000 in show revenue from the Discovery Channel hit, the patriarch reportedly earned $500,000 per episode.

Where Does the Brown Family Live Now?

The brood moved from Alaska to Washington state so that matriarch Ami could receive treatment following her cancer diagnosis in 2017 and hunkered down in Washington’s North Cascade Mountains. They purchased a 435-acre property.

“We’ve gone through a lot of adversity. It was like everything was closing in on us, darkness all around and it was over,” Billy said on the show in 2018. “Then, Washington came into view.”

“It’s almost like being born again and starting life anew,” Ami added after it was revealed she was cancer-free that year. “The good Lord has given me a second chance.”
“This place is made for us,” he added. “We have an actual ranch: barns, orchard, horses, cattle. It is a test. We can’t afford to fail on this.”

The ‘Alaskan Bush People’ Family’s Patriarch Died

Billy died in February 2021 aged 68 after suffering a seizure.

“He was our best friend — a wonderful and loving dad, granddad and husband and he will be dearly missed,” Bear announced in a statement at the time. “He lived his life on his terms, off the grid and off the land and taught us to live like that as well.”

Ami Sells ‘Alaskan Bush People’ Merchandise and the Family Has Found Other Ways of Income

In a link on her Instagram bio, it allows fans to purchase items that may give them fond memories of the show. Some items include a “North Star Ranch Hoodie” and a “Respect the Danger Hoodie,” both of which are 45.99.

“Welcome to the official website for The Alaskan Bush People. While you’re here you can connect with the family, shop for official ABP merchandise and learn about life in the bush,” the about page states.

Fans can also book a Cameo with the reality star who is a mom to seven and a grandmother to nine for $30. A personalized video from Noah will cost fans around $50 while Rain charges around $45. Gabe charges roughly $35 and Bird’s go for around $40.

As for Bear, he sells Cameo clips for $15. “Bear frequently receives birthday shoutouts, motivational pep talks, and heartfelt messages from loyal viewers. Whether it’s wishing someone a wild and crazy birthday or providing words of encouragement, Bear always brings his signature enthusiasm and outdoor spirit to make each personalized video truly special.”

Bird also has a YouTube channel called “Birds of a Feather,” which could potentially generate income through monetization, as she meets the criteria. Users need at least 1,000 subscribers to join YouTube’s Partner Program and earn money from ads on videos.
