Charlie Sheen’s One-Time TV Love Interest Jenny McCarthy on His HIV Positive Status: “Ick!”

While many in Hollywood have spoken out in support of Charlie Sheen following his admission that he’s HIV positive, his one-time costar Jenny McCarthy isn’t among them.

On her radio show, Dirty, Sexy, Funny, the former host of The View, 43, dished on playing his love interest on Two and a Half Men and how she felt she should’ve been informed of his status.

“I look back and I’m like, ‘Okay, that would have been some valuable information.’ Look how many people have played his love interest on the show,” she said. “I mean, not that you can obviously get it through kissing, but still that’s a big deal.”

She continued, “Playing his love interest on the show, even back in the day, I go, ‘Ick! That’s not fair. It’s scary.’ I have sympathy for him because, you know, he’s sick and it’s awful, but man he’s going to have some major accountability with many people in his life.”

The 50-year-old actor’s rep has since released a statement, saying the reason he didn’t disclose his diagnosis to Jenny (or the public) during her stint on the sitcom, which lasted from 2007 to 2011, is because he had not yet contracted the virus — and therefore it’s a non-issue, as there was nothing to share.

His rep said, “Charlie was infected long after he left Two and a Half Men and long after he worked with Jenny.”

While disclosing his status to Jenny wasn’t relevant (or really possible), a source did previously tell In Touch Weekly the controversial actor hasn’t always been forthcoming about his health with his sexual partners since his diagnosis about four years ago — despite his assertions insisting otherwise.

“So many of his sex partners claim he didn’t tell them at all or didn’t tell them until after they had sex. Charlie always does what Charlie wants. It’s just wrong,” the source said to In Touch. “This isn’t about Charlie being HIV positive. This is about Charlie lying to so many people for years — not telling people who should have known.”
