It’s only been a few weeks since Beth Chapman passed away, and her daughter Bonnie Jo Chapman has gotten some weird requests from fans about her late mother. “Also, please don’t ask me for my mother’s ashes,” she captioned a photo of her family on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, July 17. “Ashes are for family, no one else. No exceptions.”

This isn’t the first time the 20-year-old had to set trolls straight on social media, either. “Love you forever, mom. You’ve got a halo now,” Bonnie Jo wrote on Twitter on June 26. “I’ll never forget you, mama. You were such a strong woman, and you taught me to always be strong. You were strong for everyone, and you taught me it’s OK to let go.”

When some people posted some not so kind words in the comments section, Bonnie wasn’t having it. “For those talking s—t about my mother after her death, shame on you,” she clapped back. “My mother was a person and doesn’t deserve to be degraded because of ANY of her or my father’s past. My mother fought for women’s rights and was the kindest woman.”

Duane “Dog” Chapman confirmed his wife died after her battle with cancer at just 51 years old on June 26. “It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven,” he wrote on social media. “We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.”

On July 16, Bonnie shared with her fans how she was coping with her mom’s death. “How are you doing?” one fan wrote in a question and answer session. “I’m OK. Just remembering that cancer can no longer hurt her. She’s no longer in pain and finally feels normal again. I do miss her like crazy.”

Bonnie also revealed that her boyfriend is helping her through this rough period. “He’s been so helpful,” she told another follower. “He’s always been there to comfort me and just let ugly cry on his shoulder.”
