She’s coping, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t hurting. Bonnie Jo Chapman — one of the late Beth Chapman’s children — shared a candid post on Instagram about her mom on July 17, just weeks after her death. The caption on the pic simply said, “I miss you,” but that’s all it needed to say to convey Bonnie’s pain.

Beth passed away on Wednesday, June 26 after losing her battle with cancer. She worked with her bond bailsman husband, Duane “Dog” Chapman, and also starred alongside him on the A&E reality series Dog the Bounty Hunter and the upcoming WGN America series, Dog’s Most Wanted. The photo Bonnie, 20, shared appeared to be a still from the new show.

Beth’s daughter has opened up a lot recently about her mother’s passing and answered quite a few questions about how she’s dealing in a fan Q&A session on her Instagram Story on July 16. For instance, when someone asked her, “How are you doing?” she replied, “I’m OK. Just remembering that cancer can no longer hurt her. She’s no longer in pain and finally feels normal again. I do miss her like crazy.

When someone else asked Bonnie a similar question, she young woman responded, “I’m good, really. My therapist prepared me for all of this, it hurts that it happened so soon but I was able to take advantage of the moments I had with her. I try not to regret much with her, and I only regret not talking to her the day before.”

At Beth’s Colorado memorial service on July 13, Bonnie spoke about her mom and revealed that she “never imagined I would lose my mom at 20. I never imagined walking down the aisle without her or her not judging my dress. I never imagined a life without her, it’s really tough now being without her.” Honestly, we’re impressed with how well she seems to be holding it together in the wake of unimaginable loss. Our thoughts continue to be with Bonnie and her whole family at this time.
